To my blind followers using MacOS 11.3 betas: have you noticed that all Nuance Vocalizer voices are gone from Big Sur 11.3 beta 3? All languages are affected. It‘s on my M1 Mac.On twitter.com

This makes VoiceOver pretty much useless in non-English languages because all Siri voices in all languages have a bug where they speak two or more utterances in parallel, talking over each other, becoming unintelligible. Long standing bug which I and others reported months ago.Permalink On twitter.com

In English, Alex is still there which is not affected by this bug. iOS 14.5 Beta 3 is not affected, it is only MacOS. Nothing was mentioned in release notes. Trying to find out if it is just my system or if others are affected, too.Permalink On twitter.com

I am happy to report that this got fixed in the 4th beta of Big Sur 11.3, released on Monday March 15. The Nuance voices are all back and just need to re-download to start working again.Permalink On twitter.com
